Somatics Movement Classes:
Goal for this class: Calm your mind, body and soul! To help people learn to move with mastery
and joy and let go of the stress patterns our bodies hold onto. If your goal is to reclaim your
freedom of movement, and release the tension that is accumulating in your body because of all
the stress in the world today, this class is for you!
​Somatic movements are gentle and relieve muscle pain and tension while calming your nervous system. Over the course of your life your muscles can become tight because of ongoing
stresses and no matter what you do, the muscles will not stay relaxed which can cause pain.
Somatic movements re-educate your brain and the way it senses and controls your muscles.  It
helps you to release and relax your muscles so you can move freely and effortlessly.  Bonus: Not only will your body feel relaxed and refreshed but your brain will too!
Equipment needed for class: enough space for you to lie down with arms outstretched
Fee: $15.00

Somatics + Pilates + Weights Classes:
Must have prior Somatics class experience before starting this class.
Classes will start with a warm up of Somatics so that the muscles are more relaxed and ready to get strong and the mind can get focused.  Then we will do some Pilates strengthening exercises, free weight training, standing leg work and balance work.  My goal is to work on strength and flexibility of the joints, muscles and fascia.  Then back to Somatic movements at the end to remind the body that it can get stronger without holding onto the tension in the muscles. 
​Equipment needed for class: Set of hand weights (and/or soup cans, it is good to have a
heavier weight and a lighter weight option), small ball (6-12”), large ball and a flex band.
Fee: $25

FREE Calm Your Mind Classes:
Good for all levels.
Goal for this class: Calm your mind, body and soul. To give you tips you can use throughout
the day to and release the tension that is accumulating in your body because of all the stress in
the world today!

Equipment needed for class:  A comfortable place to sit 
Fee: Free

 

​​How to cancel a class

If possible, all cancellations must be made via phone call or text to TLC Pilates + Somatics at (503) 201-6433 with 12 hours notice
or you 
will be charged for the class.
 

​How to pay for a class

Payment options: 
  • Zelle, Venmo, personal check or credit card through Schedulicity.com.
Somatics Movement Classes:
  • $15 each or 5-pack for $75
Somatics + Pilates + Weights Classes:
  • $25 each or 5-pack for $125
Private Sessions: 
  • $85 each or 5-pack for $400 (On-line sessions only)
  • $95 each or 5-pack for $450 (In studio sessions)
  • $170 for 1 private in studio session + 2 on-line 30 minute sessions
 

​​How to get to an online class

What do I need in order to participate in online classes?
A desktop, laptop, or mobile device and the Zoom app (please install before your first class).
Download Zoom by going here:   https://zoom.us/download

How do I join the class?
You will receive an email the night before class which includes a link to join the class and a
password. Once you click on the link, and put in the password, the meeting should
automatically open as long as you have the Zoom app installed. If it is not installed yet it will
ask you to install. Just follow the simple instructions and then it will take you to the class.

How do I mute/unmute myself?
Click the  Mute/Audio button (microphone/speaker icon) on the toolbar. A red slash will appear
over the icon indicating that your audio is now off. Unclick it to unmute yourself.

How do I turn off my video?
Click the  Stop Video/Video button (video camera icon) on the toolbar. A red slash will appear
over the icon indicating that your audio is now off. Unclick it to turn video back on.

I only want to see the instructor, not the other participants. How do I do that?
In Zoom, you will see the video of whoever is currently speaking. If you only want to see a
certain participant, you can double click on the instructor (if using a phone or Ipad). If you are
on a laptop to use the Pin Video function hover over the instructor’s picture and click the 3 dots
in the upper right hand corner of the screen and choose “Pin Video”.
